Atmostherm were asked to provide advice on the design and installation of a new domestic hot and cold water system, drainage system, surface water system and sanitary ware installation at this new build project in Blacon, Chester. With the help of the mechanical consultants concept drawings we designed a complete plumbing system for the two storey Enterprise office and the 36 bed sheltered apartment block.
The project was planned to be installed over an eight month time scale and Atmostherm completed and handed over the entire project on time and on budget. New cold water distribution pipework was taken from a first floor plant room containing cold water storage tanks and cold water pump sets to each apartment situated on three floors. All the pipework throughout the main buildings was installed using copper tube and press fit fittings to reduce hot works dangers. The pipework was insulated and identified using foil back insulation to create a vapour seal and prevent overheating and condensation. High quality VITRA sanitaryware was supplied and installed in each of the apartments and this was plumbed in using HEP20 plastic pipework and fittings. We also installed a new soil drainage system and surface water system to serve each apartment within the buildings. Where the drainage systems and pipework passed through the concrete sub structure of the buildings a fire collar was fitted to maintain the fire integrity of the building. On completion of the works the whole plumbing system and storage tanks were chlorinated to current standards and certified for use.
We are experts in all aspect of plumbing and pipework systems.
