A warm air heating system is ideal for open spaced buildings that require heating quickly to a given temperature. Warm air heating units can be floor mounted, or when space is important the units can be suspended.
Atmostherm are able to offer a wide range of energy efficient warm air heating solutions, which can help meet the challenge of maintaining effective temperature control in a small or large factory space, or commercial premises. All of the warm air heating units can be specified to operate on gas, oil, LPG or Bio fuels giving greater installation flexibility.
This type of warm air heating system can be open flued (the combustion air is extracted from the room to be heated) and is ideal for applications in factories, warehouses, showrooms and sports halls.

Room-Sealed Warm Air Heating Systems
A warm air heating system can also be room sealed with a flued fan allowing horizontal or vertical flue applications. This type of heater should be used in situations where a negative pressure or over pressure is present i.e. high ventilation rates. These heaters are ideal in situations where the atmosphere is contaminated such as garages or chemical stores.
All warm air heaters can be supplied with energy efficient heating control systems which will accurate control the time and temperature. Additional energy savings can be made to a warm air heating system by installing sufficient destratification fans which will force rising hot air down to the working level.
Floor-Mounted vs Suspended Warm Air Heaters
Choosing between a floor-mounted or suspended warm air heating system usually comes down to available floor space and how the building is used. Suspended units free up valuable floor area in factories and warehouses where forklift access or racking is a priority, while floor-mounted units can suit smaller spaces or sites where ceiling height or structural support for suspension isn’t practical. We assess your building layout during the free site survey to recommend the option that fits how the space is actually used.
Destratification and Even Heat Distribution
In large, high-ceilinged spaces, warm air naturally rises and collects near the roof, leaving the working level cooler and pushing up fuel costs as the system works harder to compensate. Destratification fans redirect this trapped warm air back down to floor level, improving comfort for staff and reducing the energy needed to maintain a set temperature — a straightforward addition that can meaningfully cut running costs in tall commercial buildings.
